Raising Awareness
Sadly, Triploidy is fatal and there is no cure or treatment for this condition. Triploid syndrome can only be diagnosed through a chromosome analysis test or fetal DNA extracted through an amniocentesis. It can also be suspected through an ultrasound based on severe abnormalities, which is how we discovered this at 20 weeks. Research and funding is so limited, however it is still important to raise awareness and share our story to enlighten others about this rare chromosomal disorder.
April 20th is Triploidy Awareness Day!
